Profitable Journey

Six years have passed since Our Beloved Prophet (Peace be upon him) and his companions completed their Hijra.

All of the Muslims that came to Medina left their things at Mecca. They tried to live in Mecca without any of their old belongings.

The Muslims really liked Medina. They liked Medina because here they could pray comfortably. Also Our Beloved Messenger (Peace be upon him) was with them. Everyday they would go to him and listen to him word for word. If they ever had a problem, Our Beloved Messenger (Peace be upon him) would rush to help, day or night. Even so, the Muslims all missed the land in which they were born and which they grew up in. They held in their eyes he streets that they played in as kids. They missed the most valuable place in the world, Caaba.

One night, Our Messenger (Peace be upon him) had a dream in which he and his companions visited Caaba.

The next day he told his friends about his dream. They all listened with excitement. After his words, Our Messenger (Peace be upon him) told them to get ready because they were soon going to Mecca.

This news made the Muslims very happy. Because they’re going to visit Caaba, and see the city that they were born in and grew up in.The Muslims from Medina were also happy because they were also going to see Caaba.

The preparations were finished in a short period of time. Our Messenger (Peace be upon him), along with one thousand five hundred of his friends started their journey to see Caaba.

After days of traveling, Our Beloved Messenger (Peace be upon him) and his companions started nearing Mecca. They were only one day away from reuniting with the Caaba that they missed. They were very excited. As they got closer to Mecca, their yearning grew stronger.

They grew tired from the days of their journey. That day they temporarily settled in by setting up their tents in an area called Hudeybiye.

News about their journey quickly spread to Mecca. The polytheists in Mecca were very worried. Quickly, a meeting was arranged. At the meeting, the polytheists decided not to let Our Messenger (Peace be upon him) and his companions into Mecca.

They sent their messenger to tell Our Messenger (Peace be upon him) about their decision.

The messenger came to Our Messenger (PBUH) and said,

-Mohammed (PBUH)! Quickly leave this place. We will not let you and your friends inside Mecca.
